Can you open the door Mamma for me ,

for the rain is falling and I’m longing to see

outside to the world to the rainbows end .

Oh there’s gold Mamma waiting for me

and the colours of love are glowing brilliantly

in the  sunshine because you’re my friend .

Mamma  I see the beauty in all that you bring .

Mamma  I hear the words of a new song begin .

Mamma they say when the rain run’s dry

that the stars will fall down from the sky

and miracles will happen and on this we can depend .
