Shine On

We were restrained in COVID chains

with so many different strains

contradictions from Doctors strange

restrictions that brought about change .     

After the lockdown came and went

I remembered  how much it meant

Just to do the things that we did

back in the days before COVID .

Time to pay back what we borrowed ,

chasing time before tomorrow ,

escaping with faces we hid ,

in the isolation with COVID

 We’re on the sky road once again    

to many places on a plane

travel revenge is set to fall

where the sun shines down on us all

 shine on , we’re doing fine

shine on down where the sun don’t shine
