 I don’t take no drug to make me feel right ,

I don’t need no one to bug me tonight 

and there’s no hug for a slug just like me ,

I’ll not bother you so just let me be

I’ll disappear give up with no fight

I’m just a slug on a rug in the night

Sometimes I would just crawl in from outside

and try to find some place that’s safe to hide

wish somebody would just pick me up

and put me  inside some paper cup

I’ll do my best and try to keep out of sight

I’m just a slug on a rug in the night

There’s something I just want you all to know

 I’m just a slug with no where to go

you never seem talk to me when I’m there

you never look back at me when I stare

 If I told you I love you would that be all right

I’m just a slug on a rug in the night

Is it something I’ve done I’d like to know

 I can’t help it being ugly and slow

I might be a slug but I still have some pride

What if I had crawled away and  died

would you be happy to see the end of me

 just a slug on a rug R.I.P .
