I walked through the valley of darkness .

You took me by the hand so easily .

I trusted that you would not forsake me ,

to leave me to die with my enemy .

You smiled as the sun lit up the valley

Its warmth touched the deepest part of me .

The dark night of the soul embraced the morning

And in that very moment I could see .

Such love beyond the greatest love that I know .

Such love to bow the mighty low .

Such love as this is eternal .

Such love is ours a precious pearl .

From the mountains to the sea I did wander

And friends I discovered along the way .

I met you again in the sunshine ,.
