There’s No Mercy On The Streets
By Paul McCann
There’s murder on the streets of Bondi
and people they just turn a blind eye .
Somewhere an evil one will snigger
as a gangster pulls back the trigger
on some poor innocent passer by .
There’s crime scenes on the streets of Blacktown
and their motto is never back down
there are so many hard talking dudes
walking around with bad attitudes
claiming they are the man around town .
There’s drive by’s on the streets of Auburn
Gone are honest wages they once earned
Its easier to shoot from a car
And let everyone know who you are
And their rubber continues to burn .
They’re on the streets of Parramatta
and on corners in Cabramatta
anything can be bought for a price
40 kilos of rice mixed with ice
and those who mind don’t really matter .
There’s fighting on the streets of Sydney
and people seem to be so angry ,
with red bloodshot eyes in their sockets
and their sharp flick knives in their pockets
it’s a dangerous place , the city .
