The Wee Ones Very First Christmas

Once before the mists of time had cleared there was a tribe of little folk called The Wee Ones . Because they were the very first creatures on earth to have seen the big man , which is him with the red suit , black boots and the white beard otherwise known as , Santa , the story goes is the Wee Ones were given the gift of immortality and it is a well known fact that they also became Santa’s little helpers .

But what actually happened .
Well I’ll tell you the story about the very first time Santa came to town .

One misty night in a land beyond their Snowy Mountain home the Wee Ones were wandering about in circles as they often did trying to find out exactly where they were . Once inside the circle they followed each other and usually ended up with the head staggers . It was innocent enough because as they were walking around and around they told stories and made up funny little songs to pass the time .

So there they were , about twenty of them walking around and around when all of a sudden , across the northern skyline came a shooting star that dressed up the night sky like a streaked sequin until it fell down into the distant horizon . After the shooting star has crashed far away into the Snowcap Mountains a flash of light illuminated the entire land .
Suddenly for the very first time the mist lifted and the Wee Ones could see things that they never knew existed .
A icy lake was there like a mirror cradled by the Snowy Mountain .
Their little village sat in a Valley and not on the top of the mountain as they had always though .

Then they saw him come . He made his way across the icy lake on a large sleigh puled by six reindeers .
When he arrived in their midst he touched each one of the Wee Ones and gave them a name and explained that from this day on they would not grow old and that they would be each given a gift to fulfil their mission which was to make every single child on earth happy from that day on.

A strange kind of noise seemed to overpower the big man who started to laugh and as he did the Wee Ones all began laughing as well and they laughed long into the night .
When morning came the Wee Ones were still sore form laughing but the big man took away all their pain .
He told them his name was Santa and that he had arrived on a shooting star from a place much too far away .

The Wee Ones felt honoured and called him their King .
Santa said he would have none of that and anyone that called him King Santa he would have no choice but to sent them into fits of laughter until they changed their mind .

Santa issued all the Wee Ones a new set of clothes and provided them with the best food they had ever tasted . Following this Santa and the Wee Ones sang a few songs , made up a few stories and began walking around in circles but nobody got lost this time because everyone followed Santa from the circle and onto the icy lake .
Above in the sky a very bright star appeared and as the Wee Ones al;l stood there gazing up Santa said ,

“Now it is time to begin our mission . We must to make Christmas happy “

.
Santa took them all in his large sleigh to the top of Snowcap Mountain and showed them the place that would now be there home .

What a beautiful village that was there .
The Wee Ones each had a little home .
There were workshops and libraries , shops and stables , a small railway with a track that ran through the entire village .
Santa had a place for everything and everyone .
The Wee Ones were astonished by all they saw .

Each of them started to out their hand to things .
They had each been given gifts .
Some took up sticks of charcoal and began to write and draw on a white slates that were placed all around the village . Like notepads or notice boards messages began to appear .
Orders for this and that presented themselves . Santa knew exactly what they meant as he ran his eyes down the list .
He had to check twice in case he missed anything .

I want a silver carriage with horses .
I want a kite that flies in the sky like a bird .
I want a King’s crown with a throne .
Santa laughed and laughed .
The Wee Ones never blinked .
Santa continued to check the list .

I want a doll that talks .
I want a ball and a bow that shoots arrows .

Santa pointed to each message and some of the Wee Ones to find those items in the workshops and when they did to cross them off the list .

After a few days the lists of things ordered were almost all completed .
Santa knew time was near when some small animals from beyond came calling . Wild dogs woods from the snow fields also came and watched along side cats and deer as Santa began to load the sleigh up with toys .

The star up above in the sky shone down so brightly that darkness never came . The Wee Ones began to clap their hands and dance around in a circle .
Santa joined in and big smiles were beaming . A happiness had come that they all knew would never disappear .

Suddenly inside Santa’s Sleigh dolls started talking , balls began to bounce , soldiers began to march and Kings Crown started to shine .
Santa spoke softly to each of the reindeers as he put on their tack gear and then he turned around to the Wee Ones and said ,

“It’s time .”

“Huh , time for what “
The Wee Ones said .

Santa climbed into the sleigh and said ,

:Its Christmas time . Ho-Ho-Ho and away we go .“

The Wee Ones were amazed when the reindeers ran off at speed and suddenly the reindeers took flight . The Wee Ones all watched as Santa and his sleigh shot across the sky like a shooting star into the distant horizon .

Still was the night until Santa returned and reloaded the sleigh with more toys and all through the night he worked .
The Wee Ones in turn helped as much as they could .
Al lover the world the spirit of Christmas was moving .

Glory for up in the sky angels came .
They told how on this night a King was born and from this day darkness would be expelled forever .
As they explained about this new born King the Wee Ones were intrigued for they had never before heard or seen anything like this .

“Who is this King ?”
Asked the Wee Ones .

“This is the King of Kings who will bring down the proud and mighty . He will bring laughter and peace and where there is need he will bring hope .
Anybody who will loose their life for his sake they will find it .

The wee ones all went into a deep sleep with the whispers of angels in their ears . Beyond the Valley and the Icy lake in a dream the Wee Ones found themselves carried by the wind to a place where small animals sat inside a stable near a child who was the new born King .

All over the land animals and men came to visit the new born Kind .
Shephers and sheep , wise men with gifts . then came camels and squirrels and foxes , birds and butterflies . All kinds of creatures came .
Some from afar and others from near , each in turn came to look at the child King .

All through the night the animals came until the Wee Ones were awakened from their dream and it was morning and Santa had returned within an empty sleigh .

There was a magic feeling that morning all over the land .
A silver shimmer fell down on the land and Santa said

“It looks like the world has just been renewed .“

The silver shimmer remained for weeks and weeks and in the sky many new stars appeared .
One of the Wee Ones asked ,

“Santa , why are the all these new stars in the sky ?

He replied

“The angels have come to worship the child . “

Flowers began to appear here and there around Snowcap Mountain .
Around Santa’s house there was a scarlet rose garden with a perfume so strong and powerful that one sniff would send anyone into a deep sleep .

Other miracles had occurred . No one asked questions . The Wee Ones just accepted and appreciated each one .

Gardeners came by to tent to the roses .
Butterflies and birds floated from rose to rose and scattered soft petals around each of the Wee Ones homes .As the petals fell , roses grew over the snowy ground .
The roses were of many colours and every now and then a butterflies turned into a flame and disappeared .
Honey bees arrived around the village and soon hives were seen .
The sound of the buzzing tickled the Wee Ones ears which made them all fall into a deep sleep and when they awoke Santa said ,

“Its time ?”

“What,”

“Christmas time come on we have work to be done . Ho! Ho! Ho! “

The Wee Ones have continued to help Santa and will do until the last star falls from the sky .
