Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water
Twelve months later Jill came back with a brand new baby daughter

I spoke to Jill said, "welcome back"
Happened to notice she wasn't with Jack

Heard he got drunk and fell down
The pub was called the Dog and Crown

Well then Jill what will you do?
She said, "I want to live with you"

You see Jill and me we had a thing
But she left for Jack and had a fling

I'd have said yes but I couldn't support her
Not both Jill and her daughter

Anyway soon enough she'd go see Jack
Then she would go running back

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water
Thirteen months later the council came and took away Jill's
daughter
