Will I be a pianist
And play piano like a pro?
Perhaps the xylophone or glockenspiel?
I don’t plinky plonk think so.
Over there’s a tambourine,
They’re used to keep the beat.
But it’s so easy to play one
I could do it with my feet.
Something more exciting
Is what I’m looking for.
The biggest or the strangest
Or the best thing in the store.
Perhaps I’ll be a drummer,
I like to thump and bash.
I’d really love a bass guitar,
But just haven’t got the cash.
Maybe then the triangle,
For that’s not dear at all.
But then Rod already plays that
And he’s the biggest geek at school.
How about the violin,
Accordian or harp?
Or I could play the trumpet,
Parp parp-it-y parp!
I might learn the clarinet,
Oboe or saxophone.
And if I play just loud enough
Sis might leave me alone.
Oh no, not a recorder!
My dad says it’s the thing.
We’re all learning it at school you see,
How incredibly boring!
