My Pond is Evaporating

Crystal dew slips and dangles off
A leaf shaped bitten by pubescent moths
Then falls into a current...
and is lost for good
Just below the furry vine
Some killer waits camouflage design
To pray on passing suckers...
Unlucky, unaware
Amber season saps from skin
Preserving reasons trapped within
To wrapping gooey gold...
Around a memory
Rippled disturbance a fall from high
Rocking turbulence that's stretching wide
To the edges of a shallow...
That'll settle then calm again
Sit drying out old...
Or crawl the long road...
When all's bought and all's sold...
Where'd the water go?
