Pandora's Mirror

There's a little old shack at the end of the road
Nobody will venture that way.
Whatever goes on in that old wooden hut...
Is a secret to this very day.
But I share the secret with others like me
Who have courage to take refuge inside.
And I feel that others should follow me in,
Others with something to hide.
For in this old hut is a very old box
And a mirror inside this box lies.
And those with a sin or a pain they would lose
Let the mirror relieve all their cries.
There was a little old shack at the end of the road
But the council just pulled it apart.
And the mirror is missing and nobody knows
If they carried it off on the cart.
And others like me, we can't sleep at night
For we know if the mirror should break.
Our troubles will spill from the fragments of glass
And destroy all the world in their wake.
