BRINGING HOME THE BACON

now, life can be a tyrant
that will shake us all about
and our pockets get upended
so our money all falls out
now, death comes rather cheaply
but the cost of life is big
and i'm bringing home the bacon
but she still calls me a pig
we all love entertainment
adds some color to our life
and its sweetens our existence
and erases woe and strife
but we all must pay the piper
if we gallivant and jig
and i'm bringing home the bacon
but she still calls me a pig
now, the crust of earth is bitter
and the harsh winds wildly blow
and if you're on the surface
you are blustered to and fro
so we need a hole to hide in
and it takes some cash to dig
and i'm bringing home the bacon
but she still calls me a pig
