i shiver as the sun comes up

the shadows fade to white

why must the dawn occur at all ?

there's comfort in the night

the sun's an evil queen that rules

revealing all beneath

the light and heat expanding

till it makes me grit my teeth

the night erases all my stress

the darkness does not chafe

the blanketing of stars

will help me keep my secrets safe

i let loose as the sun goes down

the moonlight never burns

embracing sacred moments

till the evil queen returns
