life is like a poem sometimes
a stream of thought so pure
but nature can go haywire
and malfunctions may occur
.
instead of flowing couplets
there's no reason to the rhyme
it's time to flip the hourglass
and stem the tide of time
.
life is like a wish sometimes
be careful what you ask
what once brought you such merriment
becomes a weary task
.
instead of feeling blessed
it seems your every move is cursed
it's time to flip the hourglass
till fortunes are reversed
.
life is like a game sometimes
when time to roll the dice
you may end up in hell
although you packed for paradise
.
instead of joyous certainly
there's ragged fields of doubt
it's time to flip the hourglass
before the sand runs out
