LOVE WOULD PASS AWAY

too often in this game of life
one seems to find a mate
that seems to be that special one
but then they hesitate
.
forever's such a long long time
so choices must be wise
the one they saw so blindly
now has shifted in their eyes
.
their words once tumbled freely
now there's nothing left to say
a pair, just merely passing time
till love would pass away
.
they want someone to fill their days
a lover and a friend
with honesty, unwavering
which would not break or bend
.
they search for someone so ideal
but this is hard to find
they're stumbling down an alleyway
as if they're deaf and blind
.
things slow until they march in place
with feet made out of clay
a pair, just merely passing time
till love would pass away
.
they say you kiss a lot of toads
before you find your prince
the same is true, for princesses
in my experience
.
two actors thrust upon a stage
without a formal script
the wheel gets reinvented
when the hourglass is flipped
.
the curtain will be closing
on this flimsy little play
a pair, just merely passing time
till love would pass away

Two actors flung onstage

Two actors flung onstage without a proper script - great line. There is a lot to be said about improv though. If you have two actors with a good connection the stage will light up. Doesn't always have to be fireworks. A gentle glow will sometimes do.
The beat of your heart is the mellifluent rhythm to my soul.
