it's out of our hands

you understand

and into the hands of love

the powers that be

must greater than we

have lifted us higher above

how precious, this gift

all our lives how we drift

in a desert all coated with sand

if lucky, we're led

to a clearing ahead

an oasis of joy, close at hand

so, let us rejoice

we aren't given a choice

when love has a need to be fed

the heart will take charge

till it grows nice and large

and completely takes over your head

that's when you will find

that your eyes have gone blind

the sun shines so bright up above
