the canvas blank
and lacking rank
yet dreams will soon run free
just turn the little crank
that will invent the scenery
.
the banners curled
and then unfurled
its message plain to see
wider than the world
her eyes revealed the mystery
.
in heaven's dark
a lightning spark
illuminates the black
the angels shouted hark
and then the thunder answered back
.
it'd truly be
a tragedy
if never taught to fly
bluer than the sea
her eyes revealed the endless sky
.
temptation knocks
and picks the locks
unfazed by any haze
just put away the clocks
and let the seconds turn to days
.
when passion plays
embrace its ways
resisting is a sin
scarlet as a blaze
her eyes revealed the fire within
