TIME GETS ANXIOUS

we live in different time zones
well, at least for half the year
although we live in different states
our own state's always clear
.
the minutes seem like hours
every minute we're apart
then hours seem like minutes
when our time together starts
.
time is like a fabric
mister albert einstein said
together, light as feathers
when apart, as dense as lead
.
about an hour in the air
six times that in a car
we'd be there in a twinkling
if twas written in the stars
.
our love makes time get anxious
as it stretches back and forth
it's like if east just headed south
while west flew off due north
.
some day we'll be together
and then time will cease to roam
for we shall share a time zone
furthermore, we'll share a home
