TOO MUCH BAGGAGE

i went down to the airport
for there was a trip i'd planned
and when i jaunt there's things i want
i hope you understand

and so i packed some bags up
i thought twenty ought to do
i filled my truck with all that muck
and down the road i flew

i showed up at the airport
and the porter flipped his lid
he turned his back, said, "later, jack"
then ran away and hid

i sighed and then collected
all the stuff that i had packed
i pulled and pried that load inside
and at the counter, stacked

the woman at the counter
merely made a point to scoff
"this may sound gruff, but with this stuff
our plane could not take off"

so i'f you've too much baggage
you'll be treated most unkind
the plane will fly and though you cry
they'll leave your ass behind
