we've always been a little odd
a fact we can't deny
it's never been too hard for us
we barely had to try
.
we've had some fingers wagged at us
what were you thinking of ?
when two odds make an even
we're believin' we're in love
.
we've had our share of gloomy days
when we've been in the dark
we've ached for just a glimpse of light
a little hopeful spark
.
with partners, who were not a match
how sad, this girl and boy
when two odds make an even
no more grievin', time for joy
.
we had a vision in our minds
of where we'd like to be
and who we'd want to be there with
in perfect harmony
.
then you and i became as one
a miracle, it seemed
when two odds make an even
we're achievin' what we dreamed
