My First Day

My First day,

Nerves on my mind,

Palms are sweating,

Will they be kind.

Try my best,

That's all I can do.

Smile and wave,

That will get me through.

Opinions and thoughts,

Running through their minds.

Comments and laughter,

Not far behind.

Nearly completed,

My works almost done.

Will I get a cherry pick,

On poem number one.
