Electric light on shark grey linoleum
Reminds me of you.
The timeless pacing from
Magnolia wall to hardwood door
Worn into the tiles
Waxed by small, stooped, blue nylon overalls
A million times a day
Fag in hand.
Propped against a chair of
Supreme Plasticness,
You stood tall.
Invincible, with virgin pad of A4
Soon to be sprawled with
Unquestionable wisdom coloured
Blue by Bic,
You caught me smiling.
And what of the world outside
This plethora of everydayness?
You wore pale denims so
I knew it must be
Spring.
