THE COST OF BEAUTY

Sitting, waiting, time goes slow
People stand up and leave as time goes
I have been patient but my anger starts to show
I spend more money before I become shallow.
My name gets called, my phone starts to ring
"not now, Its my turn to go in!"
I lay my tention on the hard bed
waxing, threading, a pain to the head
The steamer comes on, I get to hot
The mask goes on, I completely forgot.
I had an itch, its now everywhere
I have oils and creams all over my hair
Falling asleep, Then I hear
"That will be £30 quid my dear."
I take the money from my purse,
The tention is back already, I curse.
Its always the moment you rest your head
Come and relax on my beauty bed.

Hello Katie,
Hello Katie,
Thirty quid! They should be paying you! Any case, at your age you don't need all that pushing and pulling. At my age I don't think I need it either so if I don't you surely don't. Enjoyed reading this Katie, for the humour and the frustration expressed.

Moya's right Katie. You are so pretty you don't need all this palaver! Good poem!
