Everything that unwinds
sees parts of itself on the way
flashing by as folds unfold
as everything opens to itself.
Everything that unlocks
feels each tumbler fall into place,
each piece comes in order,
nothing feels the second thing
before the first.
Everything that lives is dying
and dies and will be dead soon enough,
connections wither, bonds release,
fluids find their way back
to the multitude-
it happens this way
every day. This
is what we see,
but only our small part,
and only in time,
when it comes
and unwinds.
