Cocooned within bed sheets
As night starts to chill
Listening out for those noises
The house quiet and still
No noises are heard but then creeps the fear
That the cause of your terror is already here
Will it come to your room in the dark of the night?
Find its way to your bed without aid of a light?
Heartbeat racing, you're sweating and trembling with fear
Could it happen again? Had it followed you here?
This thing of your terrors, this ghoul of the night
If it comes once again would you put up a fight?
Or, would you finally lay back
Let the thing reach its goal
Let it take what it wants
Let it take your young soul.
