holding breath she hums lullaby
she waits calm hides quiet shy
murmurs mild rain ancient comfort
waves of grass leaves that flutter
shivering reeds tremble shudder
willows bend bow swing sway
wind's anthem calls out danger
threatening attack a war cry!
~
broken branches torn stripped
furious gusts edge of rage
iron grip ice burned whipped
freezing fear naked blizzard
rampage slaughtering lashes
gale force slashes teeth rips
forever she'll howl weep wail
storm's music thrill of alive!

I like how this poem starts off calm, then builds to a crescendo. I like your use of words too.
Jenny.
