Faces
city streets reveal life's stories painted on blank faces
soft warm shades aglow with hope
a child gapes at new places
a wrinkled canvas aged hollow stare
tight lips press on despite the loss of trust
from the bus alight beneath the hats and hair
how can you be so intent on looking at the concrete
sunlight sparkles through the leaves ruffled by a passing breeze
she will never glimps that gleem fearful that our eyes might meet
a gallery of hopes and needs love and loss achieved denied
chisled brushed or molded baked and fired framed or folded
faces are the medium for all we try to lock inside
(I forgot I had written this..)
