Though runes may be cool and iconic
(And occasionally boustrophedonic)
For a blessing or curse
They're no better or worse
Than Latin or Old Church Slavonic.

Great poem, Paborama, though I must admit the word 'boustrophedonic' had me reaching for my dictionary.

It's a lovely word and links both the metaphor of ploughing oxen with the primary industry of the times at which writing was emerging. I often think that metaphors work so well that maybe there's a link there to the underlying structure between language and perception - shall muse further, later. Thank you
