Well, that's Guido Fawkes and The Glorious Dead done. Christmas trees next.
Returned from the tundra to the swamp last night. A life of farewells. Drove alone in the darkness, dazzled by bright lights, red and white, till I hardly knew where I was. Looking over my shoulder as I headed south, I wrote these lines:
"Saying goodbye to you
is like
watching the sun set
But knowing
I'll see you again
is like
knowing the sun'll come up
in the morning"
I have a strong feeling that I've nicked them, or at least the idea. Stronger than usual, that is.
