Buy me a horsey

Buy me a horsey, I've found one I like
Very good nature, I'm told he won't bite
He's just past his best, so I'm getting him cheap
His back sags, he looks like he'd rather just sleep
Buy me a horsey, I'd love to go riding
Buy me one now, or I'll go into hiding
You know that you love me, so do as I say
I promise to feed him and give him fresh hay
Buy me a horsey, we've plaited his mane
He comes to the fence when I call out his name
They say he's part Arab, a quarter at least
The rest of him's Trojan, unusual beast
Oh daddy, please buy him, you know I like gifts
Such a wonderful fellow to have in our midst
A creature so handsome, he stands there so proud
I'll ride him past admiring looks from the crowd
Buy me a horsey, daddy.
