Confused

If only I wasn't so confused
I'd give you a piece of my mind
But I can't work all this out myself
So to harangue would be unkind

I wish it was all much clearer
I wish it all made sense
But the more I learn, the less I know
So I'd best sit on the fence

I only have the vaguest view
of how the world could be
But the closer that I get to it
The less of it I see

I wish that I could see it all
The way that some folks claim
But the bolder the idea comes
The greater comes the pain
