Sitting in a backroom
Wake conversation surrounds
Who’s dead?
Picking at volumes
Passages of this and that
Can’t settle
Pull out Ginsberg’s three buck poems
Sixty-five to seventy-one
Thoughts on ‘68
High above Illinois
A land divided, poisoned and polluted
In this darkened, mirrored room
It seems that fifty years on
Nothing much has changed

Thanks. I've read a bit of Ginsberg, Howl obviously, and I love the Beats (more the time and their lives tbh).
