Fairway is an ordinary suburban street
where she and I used to meet
when we were sweet sixteen.
Me walking back
from my turn on the milk.
She cycling slowly up
with a newspaper bag
and the sweetest smile I'd ever seen.
And still, as the rain falls
and the years pass
and my beard turns to grey
Her sunshine smile
still warms me
with the innocence of Fairway.

I like this, Parson Thru - it's heart-warming and it brings back memories of a couple of my early loves that I still think fondly (and not so fondly) of.
