The animals came in two-by-two
and the sky began to darken
The warnings had been very clear
but the people wouldn’t hearken
It hadn’t been the best of years
for picnics in this park
The grass was saturated and
the dogs had left their mark
The rain continued falling and
it wasn’t going to stop
The rivers and the drains were all
filling to the top
All the local junkies came and
each one brought a hound
And as the rain intensified they
sought out higher ground
The owners and their terriers
were all perfectly paired
If they made it to the shelter
then the species would be spared
The animals came in two-by-two
and began to shed their fear
For Noah was crouching in the corner
cooking-up their gear

Captivating parsons.
I love the ending and anything that puts me in mind of Dylan is good. Simple as that really.
