You ask about loss

You ask about getting over loss
I answer that you don’t get over it
You get used to it
Like the empty feeling
The tension and the weariness
Being slightly out of sorts
Watching carefree others
Wondering why you’re not the same
That seriousness they notice
Those mild headaches
Persistent ones that never budge
The tightness in your throat
The little things
Like wandering places on your own
A little lost
Not remembering how it was before

You've caught, noticed so
You've caught, noticed so much there, so clearly expressed to comprehend. I take it this is personal, and evokes empathy, sympathy. I've noticed you have not been around awhile. Rhiannon

No, we're glad the strong
No, we're glad the strong winds and torrential rain has passed, but only one tree down in the town I think, and no-one hurt. I expect the rivers out of Wales will be very full for some time! Rhiannon

The pain of loosing someone
The pain of loosing someone can be devastating. You express those feelings so well here. We have so much to give our loved ones in life that when we loose them it's very hard to start all over again, especially as we age.
I'm glad you touched on this subject.
Jenny.

Well we're definitely the winners from your no-show (hope you still got paid!). Very nice to see your name again and yes, something we can all recognise, and beautifully (and fuss-free) expressed. thank you

Hello Kevin,
Hello Kevin,
This poem is so well expressed it will resonate with so many. My trouble is I do remember how it was before so that emptiness of which you speak is always there. A void that can never be filled. Congratulations on the well -deserved cherries.
