I'm an atheist and I'm OK
God is dead and Christ was gay
Richard Dawkins is my demagogue
And I ate pork chops in a synagogue
But what of prayer the faithful say
It's wish fulfilment all the way
Heaven sounds a splendid place
Shame there's nought up there but space
The pope in Rome and all his preachers
Make the worst of sex ed teachers
Catholics must time it carefully
In case one into one makes three
I'm an atheist but here's the twist
Some superstitious doubts persist
My godlessness has failed the test
I guess agnosticism's best

The much missed Christopher
The much missed Christopher Hitchens once said he wasnt an atheist but an Anti Deist in that the idea of Heaven sounded like living in a celestial North Korea. I feel your angst.Funny poem.

This is a cheeky one. I'm
This is a cheeky one. I'm not a believer myself, it seems a daft thing to believe in.

Nice one Paul. As with most

Nice one Paul. As with most things I haven't a bloody clue. Hedging my bets? Maybe. I think there is more to life than walking meat. That's why I don't use all this time playing sport instead.
