Linda Loveless frequents bars
Eyeing up the men with cars
She likes to take the train up town
For flirty nights of getting down
Linda's the one girl I know
Who cries when on the radio
Comes Our Tune and the Beatles play
'Eleanor Rigby' or 'Yesterday'
The boys know when they make a pass
That Linda's heart would break like glass
If they should grab their fun and run
-But alas there's always one
Now Linda's sitting all alone
Waiting long nights by the phone
For the call that never comes
Humming that same tune she hums
