Holiday In The UK
Summertimes
In temperate climes
Shingle beaches
Sand-filled breeches
Building castles
Donkey rides
Pierhead pageants
Taking slides
Blackburn' s sons
And Croydon's daughters
Paddling in brackish waters
Glamorous grans and nobbly knees
Lazy days 'neath shady trees
Sunburnt noses
- Wine and roses!
(Ain't No Cure For) The Summertime News
Tiny bikinis and smaller mankinis,
Sex on the beach, alcopops for the tweenies,
Icecream and sunscreen and fun by the sea,
Picnic lunches and salad for tea;
Wimbledon week, nothing much on the box;
Sometimes forgetting to put back our clocks;
Sprinklers in breach of the hosepipe ban,
The hottest June weather since records began;
Brits bound for Calais to stock up on booze
- There ain't no cure for the summertime news!
Flutter-bye
Frantically
Fluttering
Fritillaries
Frolic fulsomely,
Fleetingly,
Feverish fliers
Forever flitting
Freely thro'
Flowery furlongs
Farther afield,
Fearless,
Feckless,
Faithless,
'Fore the
Fall
