On the roadside, opposite the abandoned house,
we armed ourselves for the occasion,
With bowl hair and flares we grabbed what we could
5 points for the lower 10 for the higher
The bigger the boys the larger the stones,
The larger the stones, the heavier the throw.
The wilder the swing, the louder the shout.
The tishhhhh -the crashhhh.
When the target was hit.

Over and over a flurry of stones,
Till all that is left is a jagged framed hole,
splintered around our childhood games .
