Dead oak trees mark the entrance

Raven sits upon the gate

Witches warnings all around

Stop before you tempt your fate

 

Autumn leaves fly wild and free

Howling winds hide witchery

Shadows trick in darkened hollow

Moonlit paths you should not follow

 

Hallows Eve at stroke of midnight

Ghoulish laughter splits the night

Do you dare to find the culprit?

Think again and leave this site

Scull of Halloween atmosphere.

Thank you Philip- Yes my poem is a little spooky but have you seen the news about the asteroid shaped like a skull that was spotted by Nasa with it's infrared telescope in Hawaii - it is supposedly going to pass earth a few days after Halloween? Now that is truly eerie.surprise

Very descriptive Penny, love the idea of those paths you should not follow...but then it's human nature to want to uncover the mystery even though it could be dangerous.

Like a spooky fairytale I was captured. wink
