2. Two Ruminating Ungulates
Locke and Bentham mooed.
"Consider," said Locke, "the grass beneath our hooves. It feeds us, sustains us, and yet we trample o'er it with no apparent consideration for its value."
"Value," said Bentham, "is relative. What value a blade of grass? A stone? The fly I swat with my tail?"
Locke said, "The destinies of the fly and your tail are inextricably entwined. Their paths converge for the briefest of times, their probability waves collapse, then they diverge, like butterflies dreaming of tsunamis."
Bentham chewed some cud.
Locke mooed.

4. Have Mersey
"As I was saying," said the cow, pointing to herself and then her three friends in turn; "I'm John, you're Paul, you're George and you're Ringo."
"What about the rest of us?" said the others.
"Um... groupies?"
"Hmph" - the others sidled off moodily back to the field.
"Remind me again," said 'Paul', "why are we doing this?"
"We are recreating the cover art for 'Abbey Road'," said 'John'.
"What's the point?" said 'George'.
"How can you even ask?" said John.
"(He just did)" said 'Ringo'.
John was exasperated. "Look," he said, "it is clear to all that I am the creative force behind this combo. So you are either with me or you are with the mediocre masses we are striving to break free from."
"You remember we're just cows...?" said Ringo.
"Open your mind!" said John.
"Bugger that," said Paul. "I'm going solo."
"Me too," said George.
And so they did.
