He closed his eyes and saw gnomes with briefcases queuing to get into the office.

 

"Woah!" he said, as he opened his eyes and saw gnomes in pin-striped suits waiting to cross the road.

 

"Green man," they all said, in gnomish voices, then proceeded to cross.

 

"Are you seeing gnomes again?" she said.

 

"Yes."

 

"Turn around and walk away."

 

He did so.

 

And with a sprinkle of pixie dust, he was gone.
