Larry and Mick and the Tempting of the Fete

 

"Don't tempt fete!" said Larry to Mick.

 

But alas, the Ditherington School Summer Fete had already set itself up on the village green and was peddling pickles and tumbling tots on the Big Bouncy Battleship, while wives wistfully wished for a number ending in zero or five on the tombola.

 

"But it's only January!" said Mick to Larry.

 

"I told you not to tempt fete," said Larry to Mick.
