'Duped?' said Nigel.
'I think so,' said McGinty.
'Oh dear,' said Nigel.
'Indeed,' said McGinty. 'And not just us.'
'What do you mean?' said Nigel.
'The entire population of Planet Earth,' said McGinty. 'Except for the ones doing the duping.'
'But how?' said Nigel.
'Well...' said McGinty; 'you know all those stories about the 1969 moon landings being fake?'
'What moon landings?' said Nigel.
'Erm...' said McGinty.
'Oh those moon landings,' said Nigel.
'Yes, those moon landings,' said McGinty.
'What about them?' said Nigel.
'It would seem,' said McGinty, 'that they were fake.'
'Oh dear,' said Nigel.
'Indeed,' said McGinty.
'Major dupage,' said Nigel.
'Dupe City,' said McGinty.
'But if that' - Nigel pointed at the big, misshapen, purple rock - 'is not The Moon' - he paused for dramatic effect - 'then what is it?'
'Oh it's The Moon alright,' said McGinty; 'but not as we know it.'
'Oh dear,' said Nigel.
'Indeed,' said McGinty.
