next time I may be bold

The bass boom
Dubstep Bangra skunk gaze
He gave me
across the mud fenced squelch
Sticky
moment,
Shook my body,
Bump boom heart wobble.
I walked past blind
and out in a tremble
Past and back,
Back
Back turned
to help the fallen
lady - tripped away.
He'd gone,
Slipped
away
and left me
Ignored.
They passed me,
Didn't see me,
Little family,
and then caught me,
saved me,
Little Emmy,
Danced
With me,
Eased
the weep,
Smile distracted
teenage crowd
DJ worship
lost,
lost.
Sleep defied me,
Anger shivering through me
I gave in
"Hello"
and then a confession,
a demand,
concealed exposed
I'd made myself so visible
"Wasn't sure you'd seen me"
he replied
midway through the Simpsons,
and a comment
behind
"That woman's on her own!"
I cycled home
Bold,
a quote and a kiss
small comfort
comforted.
Recover
and wait patiently
my resolve
A mountain,
clouds,
a book,
and a bird,
a man on a horse
and a man.
Flowers,
a ring,
and the owl.
Watch and wait,
Grime my companion blown
"next time, eh"
"next time I may be bold".
"Can you turn it down please?
It sounds shit from here!"
I nearly apologised
And fixed my hair,
Squinted
Grumpy frowns,
Gulped the last of my tea.
Yes I am stained,
wrinkled old
to you,
and this
scab picked
thigh chaffed
beauty
Dances all night
Whereof you can only dream -
Spoils her trainers,
Walks home
Alone,
Malt loaf munching
from the 24 hour
Spa,
Wondering
When
He
Will stride back forwards,
Slip back in,
Clear sure eyed,
Seeing me
Without his clouds,
but with his heart.
