Sun's role

Dawn arrives.
The sun breaks through,
the chill warms up
leaving morning dew.
It gladdens my heart,
To see it climb,
Up the cloudless sky
In endless time.
It kindles our hearts.
Brings joy to the soul.
Brightens our lives.
For that, is its role.

Great poem, but I feel the
Great poem, but I feel the word 'invigorates' doesn't fit - it makes the line have too many syllables and throws the rhythm, which is otherwise pretty uniform, off. How about finding another word that means the same thing but has fewer syllables?
