The game is over,
a relief to us all.
What a shameful performance
It was more like a brawl

The best team won
Or so the experts say.
On the balance of things
Only one team could play.

I’m finally content
That we get a reprieve.
Time for a rest
or compassionate leave.

There’s a legacy left
For all concerned.
Stadia, jabulanis and vuvuzelas
And many lessons to be learnt.
