A day after celebration of sixty fifth Independence day
India was rocked by a news of Anna Hazare’s arrest with the government in fray,
In Indian army Hazare was once a proud soldier
Now against rampant corruption he is a crusader.
His arreest has become a news across the globe,
I am only putting this forth, the problem for everybody to solve.
As an Indian I am free and frank by virtue of my right to expression,
To tell the truth to my brothers all over the world to share our emotion.
Further corruption is not a problem limited to we Indians,
Like cancer, you know very well, it has spread into all nations.
If it is not so for you and you feel proud,
How a man in your country lives with plenty and other cries for food?
Corruption is rampant everywhere,
Somewhere less and somewhere more.
It is caused by man’s attachment and greed,
From corruption comes poverty, exploitation and falsehood are its bread.
Greed for power, passion of attachment,
Nourish corruption to meet their selfish fulfillment,
Human values are forgotten,
The result is poverty for many, hunger for million.
And all the development plans will be obviously failures.
With unaccounted black money, economy of a country has to be in tatters.
Let us put our head and heart together for poor man’s survival,
We must evolve a procedure to wipe out the corrupt cannibal.
If your brother is killed and society in shatter,
It is sure the greedy one has also to perish; the wealth in bank will hardly matter.
In India the cry for corruption eradication has taken a forceful turn,
When Anna Hazare a votary of Jan Lokpal bill was put in prison.
His proposal of a public court to try and punish by a supreme judge called Lokpal, these indulged in corruption,
Has been delayed, twisted and truncated with many changes to suit the corrupt politicians and administration
To buy time, to push the black money further in to an unknown tunnel, Anna Hazare had to be put in the jail,
lest he may add to the fire, his charisma if fuel.
The law and order of the country will be jeopardized,
This is the allegations against him for arrest as publicized,
Experts on law find their own logic,
To suit their masters, whom for their selfish motive they like.
A lie gives birth to many a lie,
Greed, attachments breed corruption and force the truth to die.
Rules and laws have many commas and full stops,
Written documents alone can’t speak the truth and plead for ethics.
Man has to purify his inner self,
One should not tell a lie to his own soul for acquiring power and pelf.
India is rocking for Anna Hazare- a true soldier fighting for the common good
Huge sum of public money in the hands of a corrupt few is depriving people of a reasonable livelihood.
Anna Hazare may be wrong in his procedure and proposal,
But it is sure we must join hands to end the kingdom of these criminals.
Poor innocents cannot understand,
They pathetically look for their bare need with water and bread.
A common man in India does not know whether a prime minister should come under the ambit of Lokpal law
For judge and lokpal and their jurisdiction, they don’t have strength to bother.
The jurisdiction of a judge or Lokpal is too complicated for them to know.
If a president cannot do and a judge and a Prime Minister cannot do,
Can a Lokpal selected by them and from among them can he bid corruption adieu?
Hey God! From Heaven you take charge of Lokpal,
Or take another incarnation to end this situation dismal.
