A Barrow meter
P K Routray
The purpose of our prayer as we place
is to appeal the Almighty us to bless
with no sweat of brow to meet our rising need
arising out of laziness or at times out of greed.
Most can be attainable with our effort
and many are often for luxury and comfort.
Try we must to the best of our ability
to meet our need pruned with austerity,
even trees birds animals exhibit the capability
to meet their need without disturbing the Almighty.
Almost all the time out of laziness and greed
we pray asking and tasking the God to heed.
Hence conclude I the selfish prayer is a barrow meter
our laziness, greed and lack of wisdom to measure.
