Blessed we are.
P K Routeray
Hey passerby! Sorry I am, please excuse me,
Your wretched feet and damaged wears, now I could see
Selfish I am, also I am greedy too
Think I for myself never for needy like you
Worn out and tired much you must be,
blisters and scars on your feet shock me
Hungry, jaded you are, I am sure,
such predicament as yours I can never endure?
Food, home comfortable shoe to wear,
how fortunate I am still I am with tear.
Worry I to get more and more for me and mine
stay in opulence, hoard for future at the cost of thine.
Never ever I think of your need and plight.
Are you so unlucky to be out of His sight?
Were you like me in your earlier birth
plundering, squandering resources for own joy and mirth
now being punished for illustrating the humanity a lesson?
“Share, care, live and late live, love and serve as human life’s mission”.
Grateful I am to you as you rouse my wisdom
“Happiness is when we realize how blessed we are in His kingdom.”
(N.B Seeing a poor man with worn out shocks and no shoes lying hungry in pain)
