Bye - My dear friend
P K Routray
Since a year or so your physical presence in our meet was rare
But we never felt the void, as from ailing bed you took our care.
Despite illness always to us you remained vibrant and warm
your friends were your heart and we felt this friendly charm.
Ailed you at an early age, much beyond our wildest expectation.
Veiled by your magic smile it was mistaken as your usual hoaxed creation.
Never had we thought such lanky smart well-built well-reared person
ever will have diseases to snatch him so soon despite advanced medication.
Now Angul the place so dear to our heart has lost its blaming power with you
that invigorated our waning spirit so far to rise and dream with teen agers’ hue.
you were battling for survival under ornamentation of medical gadgets
but still you smiled at us, your teen ager naughty friends and classmates.
You were dearest amongst us to Him hence you were snatched ahead of us
But we tell, Hey God! you have erred. Return Jnana as he is from the same unholy nexus.
(N.B _ The concluding part of my write up on my friend Jnana to my earlier writings posted on 3rd March and 5th March titled as “Glimpses from Memory “and “The Friendship that never waned”)
